About Betta Life Care
Hi there. My name is Gavin and I have worked as an NDIS Support Coordinator, Recovery Coach and support worker for the last 7 years in Canberra. The goal of Betta Life Care is to provide participants with access to the best supports and services available within Canberra and the surrounding region.
Coordination of Supports
- To provide you with access to support workers that you like, relate to and have things in common with.
- To provide access to activities and groups that put a smile on your face - art, arts and crafts, swimming, gym, pool/snooker, bowling, photography, walking/hiking, enjoying a catch up and talk over coffee, social groups.
- To provide access to services that support your needs and wellbeing, and are goal focused - Counselling, psychology, exercise physiology, physiotherapy, podiatry, speech pathology, occupational therapy, behavioural therapy, personal training, nutrition and diet advice, financial planning, drug and alcohol support, volunteer roles, employment services, further educational opportunities.
Recovery Coaching
A recovery coach is an NDIS funded worker that has mental health knowledge. A recovery coach will:
- Spend time with you, and people important to you, to get to know you and understand your needs.
- Help you to find out about different services and supports, and how these can help you.
- Help you get support from mental health services.
- Help you better understand the NDIS and support you with the NDIS.
Social and Community Participation.
- To provide you with support to attend appointments.
- To provide you with support to access activities and groups that put a smile on your face - art, arts and crafts, swimming, gym, pool/snooker, bowling, photography, walking/hiking, enjoying a catch up and talk over coffee, social groups.
- To provide you with support to attend events and festivals such as Enlighten, Summernats, Floriade, Multi-Cultural Festival, Symphony in the Park, Canberra Balloon Spectacular, Fireworks, Music Festivals, Motor Racing.
- To provide you with opportunities to get out of Canberra on day trips.
Adventures and Outings
Are you sick and tired of feeling stuck in Canberra with nothing much that excites you here?
I plan on taking individuals and small groups of between 2-3 people away on day trips to areas of interest.
- South coast day trips. Swims in the ocean, visits to local attractions, fish and chips.
- Trips to local towns - Bungendore, Yass, Goulburn, Bowral & Southern Highlands.
